In the architectural industry, the workers use the concept of parallel and perpendicular lines, proofs, and spherical Geometry quite frequently.
Creating Beautiful Designs
By using simple parallel and perpendicular lines, architects can create beautiful homes and buildings to satisfy our heart!
Parallel Lines
In architecture, parallel lines are portrayed in most Greek architecture with its long and wide columns. In a building, the columns are all parallel to each other creating a very well known type of monumental architecture. To build a sturdy house, an architect can build parallel walls and a parallel roof.
Spherical Geometry
Spherical geometry plays a key role in developing beautiful buildings. Longitudinal and latitude lines are a major component to determine the exact location of a building. Parallel and perpendicular lines also fall under that category. If a buyer wants the home to be in a certain location facing a certain direction, the architect must know how to accomplish the buyer's preference.
Proofs
To prove the measurement of an architect, he or she could use geometric proofs to use as evidence in stating why two lines are parallel. Different properties and/or postulates would be used to determine a given statement.
